We serve thousands of individuals with disabilities across the nation with specialized programs. We pay school fees to vulnerable children from ECD to first degree. We also assist the disabled people in sports such as wheel chair basketball, wheel chair tennis, wheel chair hockey and fitness for the disabled through block granting.
A disability is any condition that makes it more difficult for a person to do certain activities or effectively interact with the world around them (socially or materially). These conditions, or impairments, may be cognitive,developmental, intellectual, mental, physical, sensory or a combination of multiple factors. Impairments causing disability may be present from birth or can be acquired during a person’s lifetime. Disability often at times is more about how society creates impediments on the rights, needs and talents on disadvantaged people. These impediments may include poverty, lack of education, geographical isolation and social stigma. Disability may also be defined as a long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairment which may hiinder one’s full participation effective participation in society on what would be an equal basis with other people.
